Born in 1978 in Denmark; lives and works in Aarhus, Denmark2006 Det Jyske Kunstakademi (Jutland Art Academy)2000 UAL - University of the Arts London He works with drawing and painting. "Lars creates his printing plates by cutting shapes out of foam, and then he mounts the individual parts on a thin piece of wood or plexiglass. The principle is very similar to linoleum or woodcuts, but in contrast to the traditional techniques, the foam gives enormous freedom in the process and the opportunity for e.g. to create softer roundings. Linoleum is a hard material that does not allow the fine details, and if you first make a mistake in the printing plate, then you will have to start all over again - I feel more comfortable in this technique because I can make things that come very close to computer graphics, but are still full of flaws and have all the qualities of old-fashioned graphics."
