Annette Wier: My goal is to make human potential visible through the arts and creative processes, in order to question our values and to explore the nature of the movement. The concept of movement and the connection between the inner world and external action has been the focal point of my artistic work for many years. My works can be considered as investigations into existential issues, which I study through painting, drawing, words and objects. It is essential for me to create a visual language that stimulates awareness of movement and life. When is there life? When is there no life, and when do we think there is life?
I move freely between art, philosophy, science, spirituality and life as a whole to challenge my ambition for diversity, ethics, change and openness. I have a belief that the more we see things from different angles, the more we understand and acknowledge.
